WCC Membership
WCC is proud to support tournament chess in the Southern Maryland area and is an official United States Chess Federation (USCF) Affiliate.
A principal benefit of membership is the availability of a family friendly environment to play, watch and study chess with others interested in the world’s greatest game of strategy, creativity, and wit.
WCC Charter:
Waldorf Chess Club is open to all chess players, beginners thru masters!
Our primary goal is to bring the joy and benefits of playing chess to everyone in our community,
who wants to learn and play chess while having fun in a nice family atmosphere.

2025 WCC Memberships and Cost:
All Charges will be invoiced and are due upon receipt.
(Additional Electronic Fees and Taxes may be included on the invoice depending upon type of payment.)
1.) Adult: (Over 18) For Open Play Chess Sessions
Annual Adult Membership: $75
2.) Scholastic Starter Package: (Quarterly Session - 12 Weeks)
Scholastic Starter Package: $100
This package is for the New Beginner Player
Includes:
- 12 Week Quarterly Session
- USCF Board and Pieces
- Scholastic Workbook - "Chess Rules for Students"
3.) Scholastic Package: (Quarterly Session - 12 Weeks)
Annual Student Membership : $60
4.) Other Sessions/ Memberships available by request:
Private Lessons: $25 per hour
Monthly Adult Membership: $25 per month
Adult One Day Pass: $12 per day
Monthly Student Membership: $25 per month
Student One Day Pass: $10 per day
Valid School ID required
Visitors are permitted one free visit.
USCF membership is required to play in USCF rated tournaments.
* Note: WCC membership is not required to play in USCF rated events at WCC, however some USCF tournaments will have entry fee discounts for WCC members. *
